Research and Development Associate 12 month contract On-site in Cambridge, MA Must be able to work on a W2 Position Overview The individual in this role will support platform development and portfolio programs through laboratory-based research activities and bioanalytical testing. Responsibilities include tissue processing, molecular and cellular assay execution, protocol development, and laboratory documentation. Requirements
Support platform development and portfolio programs.
Process animal tissues for protein analysis and nucleic acid extraction.
Perform MSD and PCR-based methods for bioanalytical analyses.
Perform cell-based functional assays to characterize biotherapeutics.
Establish SOPs and adapt new protocols from scientific literature.
Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks.
Independently execute experiments and analyze data.
Collaborate productively with cross-functional and matrixed teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or post-bachelor’s research environment.
Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, Western Blot, or similar methods.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with animal tissue processing.
Experience with ELISA or MSD assays.
Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays.
