Summary
Our client, a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Company, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Sourcing Execution Manager IV. This role partners with clinical study teams and suppliers to execute sourcing strategies, lead complex procurement initiatives, negotiate supplier agreements, and ensure sourcing activities align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and cost-saving goals.

Requirements
  • Execute sourcing strategies for R&D categories, including CROs, study monitoring, site management, and clinical trial support suppliers.
  • Lead strategic sourcing events by developing RFx strategies, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts and rate cards.
  • Partner with clinical study teams to implement sourcing strategies at the study level.
  • Support negotiations for Master Service Agreements (MSAs), amendments, task orders, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with company sourcing policies, procurement processes, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor supplier performance, sourcing metrics, and project timelines while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support annual cost savings initiatives and strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Develop sourcing KPIs, spend analysis, and operational reports for leadership.
  • Provide sourcing guidance and training to clinical study teams on procurement processes and preferred supplier strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA/MS preferred).
  • 5–7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience supporting R&D or Clinical Development sourcing, including CROs and clinical trial suppliers.
  • Experience leading RFx events, supplier selection, and contract negotiations, including MSAs and rate cards.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development, procurement strategies, and supplier management.
  • Experience with spend analysis, sourcing KPIs, and procurement technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of ICH E6/GCP guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive process improvements in a cross-functional environment.
