Senior Project Manager – Information Systems 12 month contract Must be able to work on a W2 On-site in Cary, IL Requirements:
Lead the development of the project charter and management plan; direct, manage, monitor, and control project execution while evaluating tradeoffs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage project scope; create detailed work breakdown structures and own the project schedule, including Gantt chart development and critical path analysis.
Monitor and manage project costs within budget in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain project quality plans, risk management plans, procurement management plans, stakeholder management plans, and communication plans.
Estimate, acquire, and assign cross-functional resources; define roles, responsibilities, and deliverables; provide performance feedback to functional managers.
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of the PLM system implementation from initiation through go-live and post-implementation stabilization while minimizing disruption to business operations.
Ensure delivery of project milestones on time, within scope, and within budget, aligned to business objectives.
Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and business impacts; develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed.
Ensure Quality Management System procedures are updated to reflect new system functionality and workflows.
Lead transition to sustainment and support teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and establishment of post-go-live support structures.
Manage implementation of the PLM system aligned with business requirements and future-state processes.
Lead current-state assessments and future-state design to ensure compliant and scalable workflows.
Oversee migration of data and records from legacy systems, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
Plan and coordinate system integration with MES systems.
Ensure PLM functionality supports core processes including document control, change management, and product lifecycle governance.
Develop and maintain migration, cutover, deployment, and rollback plans.
Lead execution within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with internal quality systems and external regulations.
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage the Computer System Validation (CSV) lifecycle, including validation deliverables and documentation.
Maintain audit-ready project and validation documentation throughout the lifecycle.
Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders including business, IT, vendors, and partners.
Provide regular project status updates to governance bodies and leadership, including risks and mitigation plans.
Drive change management activities including communications, training coordination, and business readiness planning.
Ensure delivery of role-based training to support adoption and readiness.
Minimize business disruption through structured cutover planning and post-go-live support.
Manage vendor and partner performance, deliverables, and adherence to contractual commitments.
Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks impacting schedule, compliance, or operations.
Build and maintain cross-functional relationships; support team performance, conflict resolution, and stakeholder alignment.
Incorporate end-user feedback into project scope and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Align project goals with broader organizational objectives and prioritize accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
Proven experience leading end-to-end enterprise system implementations (e.g., PLM, ERP, MES), including data and records migration from legacy systems.
Experience managing system integrations, ideally between PLM and MES systems.
Strong understanding of GxP system validation and experience working in regulated environments.
Demonstrated project management expertise including planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Strong leadership skills with accountability for end-to-end project outcomes.
Ability to translate business requirements into system scope and execution plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
Proven ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.
