Senior Manufacturing Engineer
12 month contract
Must be able to work on a W2
Hybrid 4x per week in Mahwah, NJ
 
Summary
Our client, engaged in manufacturing within the life sciences industry, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering – Individual Contributor. This position will support capital and manufacturing projects, ensuring successful implementation from planning through production release.
 
Duties / Expectations of Role
  • Lead engineering implementation activities for capital and manufacturing projects, including equipment installation, qualification, and release.
  • Coordinate technical integration across automation, equipment, manufacturing, quality, and facilities teams.
  • Support project execution by tracking action items, maintaining documentation, and assisting with validation activities.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Equipment SMEs, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions.
  • Assist in equipment installation, FAT/SAT, and resolving technical issues with engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Spent time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor to support project lifecycle and ownership of project tasks.
 
Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2-4 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn project management, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment implementation.
 
Nice to Have
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
  • Medical Device experience.
  • Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are a plus but not required.
