Overview:
The Senior Manager / Associate Director, Engagement Platforms and Reporting will support the roadmap, implementation, and maintenance of technology platforms and measurement reporting for Medical Engagement activities across Global Medical Affairs. This individual will support functional Medical Engagement Leads with platform implementation and ongoing maintenance with emphasis on field medical related systems. Additionally, the role will implement key measurement frameworks and reporting across a range of external engagement activities including field medical, congresses, society engagements, medical education, and other initiatives.

This role sits within the Medical Engagement group as part of the broader Medical Excellence team. The position partners closely with commercial teams, information technology, and global medical affairs colleagues to support platform implementation and optimize end-user adoption. The role will maintain a focus on key strategic markets and assets/indications aligned with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of key platforms, systems, technology, and associated trainings supporting Medical Engagement activities
  • Develop engagement measurement frameworks for key activities to enhance the impact of medical affairs
  • Lead reporting for Global Medical Affairs with prioritization aligned to organizational needs and strategic capabilities
  • Support execution of the Global Medical Affairs roadmap through digital initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships and collaboration for project execution
  • Ensure effective data capture across medical activities to quantify KPIs, metrics, and overall impact
  • Liaise with stakeholders across medical affairs to ensure technology enhances user workflow and evolving ways of working
  • Serve as a key point of contact with enterprise stakeholders including commercial digital and information technology to ensure alignment with enterprise-level initiatives
  • Manage project logistics including phasing, budget, and resourcing throughout the project lifecycle
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital platform, systems, and technology needs
  • Work cross-functionally to communicate Medical Engagement priorities and roadmap internally and ensure alignment, coordination, and resourcing with leadership and matrix teams
  • Collaborate with medical teams and internal stakeholders to create and initiate strategies, programs, and tactics aligned with business objectives and therapeutic area priorities
  • Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate across the Global Medical Affairs organization, regions/countries, and enterprise partners
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry preferred
    • Consulting or technology experience may also be considered
  • Experience with pharmaceutical/biotechnology technology systems such as Veeva Suite or Salesforce Suite preferred
  • Experience with measurement and reporting of medical affairs activities preferred
  • Experience in project development and execution with IT, legal, and compliance teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Scientific training (PharmD, PhD, or MD) optional
