Requirements

  • Manage and direct activities and personnel associated with small to large-scale, non-IT business projects.
  • Lead single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the full project life cycle.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plans, requirements, processes, tools, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assign, guide, and monitor project staff; allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure project targets are met.
  • Estimate project level of effort, costs, resource needs, and timelines using standard estimating techniques and tools.
  • Identify project risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve project issues to minimize delays.
  • Deliver quality project solutions within defined budgets and timelines using standard development methodologies.
  • Track project progress and performance; prepare and present status reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project meetings and communicate project status within and beyond the project team.
  • Liaise with internal teams to secure specialized resources and cross-functional contributions.
  • Coach and mentor project staff and support junior project leaders.
  • Perform work in a quality system environment and ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations.
  • Exercise judgment on problems of moderate scope using defined procedures and practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of technical and/or business functional areas.
  • Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • General understanding of business unit or group functions.
  • Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and their impact on systems environments.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry required.
  • Medical device experience preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
