Requirements
- Manage and direct activities and personnel associated with small to large-scale, non-IT business projects.
- Lead single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the full project life cycle.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop, implement, and monitor project plans, requirements, processes, tools, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assign, guide, and monitor project staff; allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure project targets are met.
- Estimate project level of effort, costs, resource needs, and timelines using standard estimating techniques and tools.
- Identify project risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve project issues to minimize delays.
- Deliver quality project solutions within defined budgets and timelines using standard development methodologies.
- Track project progress and performance; prepare and present status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Conduct project meetings and communicate project status within and beyond the project team.
- Liaise with internal teams to secure specialized resources and cross-functional contributions.
- Coach and mentor project staff and support junior project leaders.
- Perform work in a quality system environment and ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations.
- Exercise judgment on problems of moderate scope using defined procedures and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of related project management experience.
- Strong understanding of technical and/or business functional areas.
- Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
- General understanding of business unit or group functions.
- Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and their impact on systems environments.
- Experience working in a regulated industry required.
- Medical device experience preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
