Requirements
  • Manage and direct the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects focused on non-IT business applications and disciplines
  • Manage and direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the full project life cycle
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to identify project scope and focus
  • Develop or monitor project initiatives and implement project requirements, plans, processes, and tools
  • Assign, guide, and monitor project staff to ensure project success
  • Deliver project solutions within defined budgets and/or timelines
  • Provide project guidance and support proactively through project completion
  • Provide tracking, reporting, and presentations to management and users
  • Manage the development and implementation process of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams
  • Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements using standard estimating techniques and tools
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans
  • Assure project quality using standard development methodologies
  • Communicate project status through standard reports and participation in status update meetings
  • Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and other stakeholders
  • Consult with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and mentoring junior project leaders
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related work experience
  • Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures
  • General understanding of business unit/group function
  • Experience working in a quality system environment
  • Ability to perform tasks in compliance with governmental regulations
  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of situations or data
  • Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
  • Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and understanding of their impact on systems environment
