Project Engineer
12-Month Contract

SUMMARY
Our client, a life sciences organization, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Project Engineer. This position will support capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept to production release. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating project activities, assisting with equipment installation, validation, and maintaining project documentation.
DUTIES / EXPECTATIONS OF ROLE
- Support project execution by coordinating activities, tracking action items, and communicating with engineering, quality, facilities, supply chain, and external suppliers.
- Assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT, and validation activities.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to resolving technical issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Spend time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor to learn project processes and progressively take ownership of project tasks.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related engineering field.
- 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships or co-op experience considered); 2–4 years for senior-level candidates.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Technical aptitude, initiative, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn project management, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment implementation.
NICE TO HAVE
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project work.
- Experience working in team environments through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
- Medical device experience.
- Certifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma are a plus but not required.
