Job Title: Product Composition Coordinator
Location: South Portland, ME
Duration: Contract (through end of year, potential extension)

Position Summary
Seeking a Product Composition Coordinator to support product safety and compliance initiatives within a biotechnology/diagnostics environment. This role is responsible for collecting and organizing product composition data and supporting the creation and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in alignment with regulatory and internal standards. The position works cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, and external partners to ensure accurate product safety documentation and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and manage product composition data to support SDS creation for finished products and intermediates
  • Maintain and update SDS documentation and product safety systems
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety requirements are integrated into processes
  • Assess product and material impacts related to product stewardship and regulatory compliance
  • Support development of standardized templates, processes, and long-term product safety strategies
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines while ensuring accuracy and compliance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related industry
  • Experience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product safety/regulatory compliance
  • Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
