Compound Management Specialist
12-month Contract
Hybrid in Cambridge, MA (2-3 days)
Must be able to work on a W2

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead compound registration and data management, maintaining accurate and complete metadata for synthesized and sourced compounds.
  • Oversee inventory control, coordinate shipments, and ensure research materials are readily available for project needs across domestic and international sites.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures, uphold quality standards, and drive continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • Act as the primary liaison for CROs and vendors, managing external collaborations, shipments, and service delivery while resolving operational challenges.
  • Partner cross-functionally with chemists, biologists, DMPK, and other research teams to support project execution, training, and system enhancements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compound management, pharmaceutical research operations, or a related scientific setting.
  • Hands-on experience with compound registration platforms and inventory databases such as BIOVIA Dotmatics, CDD Vault, or ChemAxon.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical structures, nomenclature, and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, database management, and some scripting experience (Python preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, detail-orientation, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working with external CROs, vendors, or global supply chains.
  • Familiarity with automated compound storage and high-throughput screening support systems.
  • Knowledge of laboratory automation and data standards in a research setting.
