Logistics & Operations Manager 18-month Contract Remote- EST Hours
Position Summary Responsible for planning, logistics, distribution, inventory management, and operational coordination to ensure continuous product supply and efficient execution of supply chain activities. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams, external suppliers, manufacturing sites, contract partners, and logistics providers to support product availability, inventory targets, transportation activities, and financial processes. Requirements Planning & Supply Management
Develop and manage manufacturing and distribution plans for new and existing products, including international products.
Create and maintain replenishment plans for finished products and generate replenishment orders within planning timelines.
Develop and implement safety stock strategies aligned with customer service and inventory objectives.
Communicate manufacturing plans with internal and external stakeholders.
Issue and manage purchase orders and coordinate with manufacturing and packaging partners to ensure timely execution of product plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including vendors, quality, finance, legal, packaging, and other stakeholders to monitor processes and provide updates.
Identify and resolve supply and demand exceptions by working with suppliers and production planners to adjust plans as needed.
Communicate planning results and updates across the organization.
Prepare monthly supply chain metrics and support month-end close activities and controls.
Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and complete inventory reconciliations.
Support transportation and logistics activities, release documentation review, invoice discrepancy management, master data maintenance, and related operational tasks.
Distribution & Logistics
Support and manage transactions and postings within ERP systems.
Process and document inventory movements, reconciliations, returns, claims, and product destruction activities.
Maintain inventory reporting and communicate inventory status to appropriate stakeholders.
Coordinate product receiving and storage activities with third-party logistics providers while maintaining inventory controls.
Coordinate pick, pack, and ship activities to support on-time delivery and customer service objectives.
Coordinate packing instructions, shipping configurations, and transportation methods with packaging and quality teams.
Coordinate international and intercompany shipments, including forecasting, documentation, communication, and issue resolution.
Maintain order transactions and ERP system postings.
Support serialization setup and data transaction event resolution to meet applicable requirements.
Assist with demand forecasting, distribution expense budgeting, purchase order generation, invoice allocation, and payment approvals.
Collaborate with finance on expense allocations, budget forecasting, accruals, and related activities.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with business analytics, project management, ERP systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
Strong negotiation, team leadership, and networking skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and adapt within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS certification.
Experience with GMP environments.
Experience using SAP S/4HANA.
Industry experience within pharmaceutical, medical device, or food manufacturing environments.
