Summary Our client, a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Document Management Specialist to support document control activities within a regulated environment. This role is responsible for creating, revising, reviewing, and maintaining procedural documents in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. The Document Management Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage document workflows, maintain standardized documentation, support training deployment, and ensure documents are audit-ready within an EDMS.
Responsibilities
Assist functional teams with the creation, revision, review, and approval of procedural documents in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Facilitate document review, routing, tracking, and approval processes within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Create and maintain standardized document templates, formatting, and styles.
Maintain and organize controlled documents within the EDMS.
Collaborate with the Training department to coordinate the deployment of training for new and revised documents.
Provide documentation support during internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Generate and maintain department metrics and documentation reports.
Support process improvement initiatives related to document management and document control.
Complete all required training and perform additional documentation-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–3 years of experience working with an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Experience supporting document control or documentation management in a regulated environment.
Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint; Microsoft Visio experience is a plus.
Familiarity with GxP regulations is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
