Position Summary Our client, a Fortune 500 medical device company, is seeking an Associate Sourcing Manager to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that improve cost, quality, service, and supply continuity. This role will partner closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize the supply base, mitigate supply chain risk, support new product development, and deliver value aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Lead supplier selection, supply base optimization, and spend analysis initiatives.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement.
Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to achieve optimal commercial, quality, and service outcomes.
Conduct cost analyses, benchmarking, and make-versus-buy evaluations to support sourcing decisions.
Identify and implement cost reduction, productivity, and value improvement initiatives.
Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Product Development teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
Support new product development and sustaining initiatives through effective sourcing strategies and supplier engagement.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management.
Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to evaluate costs, suppliers, and sourcing opportunities.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and organizational levels.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution.
