Communications Specialist
Contract through end of year
Remote- EST Hours
Pay Rate: Starting at $55/hr

Requirements
  • Support a variety of communications activities across enterprise internal, digital, and social communications workstreams.
  • Partner with communications team members and stakeholders across the organization to ensure timely execution of communications initiatives, content development, channel management, and stakeholder support.
Communications Content Development
  • Draft and edit communications materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Support development of leadership messages, employee communications, articles, announcements, presentations, and other communications assets.
  • Assist with content creation and editorial review processes.
Digital & Social Communications Support
  • Support execution and deployment of content across owned digital and social media channels.
  • Coordinate content calendars and publishing schedules.
  • Assist with social media copy development and content management.
  • Monitor channel activity and support reporting as needed.
Internal Communications Support
  • Support planning and execution of internal communications initiatives and campaigns.
  • Assist with employee communications, intranet content updates, newsletters, and organizational announcements.
  • Coordinate communication deliverables and stakeholder reviews.
Project Management & Coordination
  • Manage communications timelines, workflows, and approvals.
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Support editorial planning and communications calendar management.
  • Assist with meeting coordination, follow-up actions, and communications operations.
General Communications Support
  • Provide flexible support across enterprise brand, reputation, internal, and digital communications initiatives based on evolving business needs.
  • Support rapid-response communications needs and priority projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field.
  • 5+ years of communications, public relations, corporate communications, internal communications, or related experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience supporting digital and social media communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Experience supporting corporate, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries preferred.
