Associate Sourcing Manager
3 month contract

Requirements
  • Support development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities.
  • Obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation projects.
  • Support development and implementation of commodity strategies and goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Support development and implementation of processes to build a strategic sourcing organization.
  • Develop and lead cross-functional teams to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategies, and spend/supply assessments while considering total product lifecycle needs.
  • Participate in sourcing analysis, supplier selection, cost analyses, and make-versus-buy analyses.
  • Participate in development of contract strategies.
  • Negotiate, establish, monitor, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
  • Identify supply base risks and develop and implement mitigation plans.
  • Gather and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.
  • Utilize market trends to implement cost controls and business strategy changes.
  • Establish cost standards for annual operating budgets.
  • Collaborate across functions, divisions, and locations to develop supplier scorecards and business reviews.
  • Organize and lead supplier scorecard review meetings and business reviews.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.
  • Knowledge of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors, including experience assessing and mitigating supply base risks.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain optimal pricing and terms for products, materials, and services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, leadership, and executive management.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
  • Experience with supplier metrics, measurement methodologies, and supporting systems.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, influencing, communication, presentation, project management, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, strategic thinking, and team-building skills.
  • Strong judgment with the ability to make and communicate timely and sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve non-routine issues using independent judgment.
  • Ability to make decisions affecting immediate operations and broader business outcomes.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate detailed inconsistencies in processes, systems, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate with large groups of people.
  • Ability to review printed materials.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Professional certifications through APICS, ISM, and/or CSCMP.
  • International sourcing and supplier management experience.
  • Experience operating in a highly regulated industry.
  • Medical device industry sourcing and supplier management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and requirements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ISO 13485 standards.
  • Supplier audit experience related to FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 quality system standards.
  • Project management knowledge and experience
