Associate Sourcing Manager 3 month contract Must be able to work on a W2 On-site in Cary, IL Requirements
Support development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities.
Obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management.
Support cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation projects.
Support development and implementation of commodity strategies and goals aligned with business objectives.
Support development and implementation of processes to build a strategic sourcing organization.
Develop and lead cross-functional teams to create strategic commodity plans, consolidation strategies, and spend/supply assessments while considering total product lifecycle needs.
Participate in sourcing analysis, supplier selection, cost analyses, and make-versus-buy analyses.
Participate in development of contract strategies.
Negotiate, establish, monitor, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements.
Develop strong partnerships with key suppliers and internal business stakeholders.
Identify supply base risks and develop and implement mitigation plans.
Gather and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers.
Utilize market trends to implement cost controls and business strategy changes.
Establish cost standards for annual operating budgets.
Collaborate across functions, divisions, and locations to develop supplier scorecards and business reviews.
Organize and lead supplier scorecard review meetings and business reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Supply Management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.
Knowledge of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration.
Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors, including experience assessing and mitigating supply base risks.
Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain optimal pricing and terms for products, materials, and services.
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, leadership, and executive management.
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
Experience with supplier metrics, measurement methodologies, and supporting systems.
